Tap your Leap card each time you board. Cash fares do not include free changes. Ennis fares on leapcard.ie
Coming back
With a Leap card, changing between NS1 and NS2 within 90 minutes is free. TFI doesn't say whether that includes coming back on the same route, so allow for another fare for the way back (adults: €1.50 with Leap, €2.00 cash). Even if it did, you'd have to board the bus back within 90 minutes of your first tap, counting the ride there.
Getting a Leap card
Shops sell Adult and Child (5–15) TFI Leap cards. Young Adult, Student, Child (16–18) and Child (5–8) cards are ordered online. You can top up in shops, online or with the TFI Leap Top-Up app on your phone.
